As a pioneering company in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region with ambitions to expand across the EU, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive Compliance Lawyer to join our legal team. The Role:
As a Compliance Lawyer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enforcing internal compliance policies to ensure our operations align with legal standards and best practices. You will work autonomously yet collaboratively with senior management and lead the agenda to uphold the integrity and legality of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, implement, and review compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensure that policies are effectively communicated and adhered to within the company.
- Conduct regular legal audits and risk assessments.
- Provide legal advice on EU competition law and other regulatory matters.
- Manage due diligence for potential investments.
- Train and coordinate a supportive team of junior lawyers and legal interns.
Requirements:
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a law firm or as an in-house lawyer, preferably with a focus on compliance.
- Proficient in English and capable of conducting legal analyses.
- Experience with EU competition law, data protection laws, employment law, corporate compliance, and related legal regulations.
- Experience in setting up and managing compliance programs.
