We are looking for a new valued member of our Czech Legal team that legally supports the entire business offerings and operations of Deloitte in the Czech Republic.
A suitable candidate for this position should have an appropriate level of legal knowledge and experience in Czech law from either an international law firm or a corporation, out of which at least some portion in the position of an in-house legal counsel. The covered experience should be in Compliance related to the regulated tax, legal, audit, and other consulting and financial advisory services (Regulatory Compliance), incl. Anti-money laundering and UBO matters.
A successful candidate should have a good understanding of Data Privacy, Information Security and Confidentiality. Relevant experience in the area of Public Procurement and/or Mobility is welcome. Qualified candidates will demonstrate:
- University Master Degree in Law (either from the Czech or Slovak public law school);
- Between three to five years of relevant post-graduation experience, preferably (part of it) at an internal legal department of an international corporation;
- Relevant expertise in Compliance and Data Privacy;
- Good orientation in Public Procurement and Mobility;
- Previous experience with the execution and management of or participation in legal transformation projects is a plus;
- Working professional use of Czech and English, both in writing and verbally;
- Good communication and presentation skills and ability to work with various stakeholders within company, incl. writing and presenting skills;
- Ability to work independently and taking ownership for the entrusted tasks;
- Willingness to learn;
- Time and priority management; and
- Analytical and organizational skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Being a subject matter expert in Regulatory Compliance, Data Privacy, Information Security and Confidentiality, Public Procurement and Mobility and advising Deloitte practitioners on those matters;
- Legally supporting in Anti-Money Laundering and UBO related matters;
- Drafting and implementing local policies, procedures and guidelines in line with applicable laws, the Deloitte global and regional policies, and thus helping to better structure the workflow across the local organization;
- Running projects related to innovation and transformation of the ways the legal support is provided;
- Regularly monitoring new legislation and case law, its subsequent communication and implementation, where applicable, and alongside other In-House Legal team members educating and creating awareness amongst Deloitte professionals; and
- Conducting ad hoc legal research and preparing legal (risk) advice, and drafting and reviewing contracts, if necessary.
